The Fly Collar Cardigan

A considered wool cardigan drawing on the character of classic knitwear, reinterpreted through Cloth & Cut and made in Scotland in collaboration with McGeorge of Scotland.

The defining feature is the broad fly collar, knitted in substantial rib and designed to sit naturally across the shoulders. The body is worked in a fine-gauge wave/ripple stitch, giving the surface a subtle texture and depth.

Knitted from a 90% lambswool and 10% cashmere blend, the yarn combines the warmth, resilience and natural character of lambswool with the exceptional softness of cashmere. Constructed in a 2/14 two-ply yarn, it gives the cardigan a refined handle while retaining the substance expected from a proper wool knit.

A full button front is framed by a rib-knit placket, with matching ribbed cuffs and hem. The relaxed silhouette makes it an easy layer over a shirt or equally suited to wearing on its own.

Made in Scotland in collaboration with McGeorge of Scotland, drawing on their long-standing Scottish knitwear heritage and craftsmanship.

Developed from a distinctive 1970s knitwear reference, refined through Scottish manufacture and the Cloth & Cut approach to fabric, construction and proportion.

Materials and Care

This item does not need washing often as wool has anti-bacterial properties, so if you have been next to a fire and it smells a little, air it. No need to wash it…but when you do… follow the instructions below
