Hemming

UK & EU UPDATE - 14 April

With lots of new regulations in place post BREXIT...you may have read about or experienced issues with some delays to the shipping from the EU to the UK. To ensure there are no issues for you going forward we have now created 2 warehouses, one in the UK to serve our UK customers and one in Germany to serve our European customers. In the rare occurrence we run out of stock in one or the other warehouse we will offer the choice to you, the customer if you still want the item.

How does this affect our hemming service?

For the foreseeable future we won’t be able to offer the hemming services in-house but all is not lost ;0)

Hemming has always been a service we offered free of charge since we started the brand in 2020. We performed this in-house but now that we have implemented the warehouse solution this is no longer possible.

The best solution we can provide for your convenience, and to keep it free when your pants need hemming is to offer you a 10€ voucher for Cloth & Cut.

Find your local seamstress or tailor to carry out the work and send me  richard@cloth-and-cut.com proof of the hemming service received with a branded receipt or invoice to claim your 10€ voucher.

Repairs

Repairs are something we love to offer as a way to extend the life of your garment and add value to your investment. In fact it is one of our brand values: Helping to reduce waste & environmental impact to our planet & help you retain the item you love - new, worn then loved #newwornloved

Before sending your garment to us for repair, send an email to richard@cloth-and-cut.com with some photos of what you would like repaired then we’ll get back to you with a proposal..

Our repairs are based on visible-mending, a simple take on Sashiko or Boro style Japanese mending like on the photo of our jeans above.

You Pay Shipping

Our visible mending stitching repairs are free but it does take time, which is evaluated depending on the extent of the repair, we’ll let you know when we discuss by email. You are responsible for paying shipping both ways. Return shipping is approx 12€ dependant location the EU, UK or RoW. If you want something more than just stitching, lets talk ;0)

WASH it… PLEASE!

You must wash your garment prior to sending them in for repair. If you don’t, we’ll wash them and charge you 15€.
